What Are the Advantages and Disadvantages of a CRT Projection?
The CRTs have a fair service lifespan by providing excellent brightness for up to 10,000 hours of use. They provide black level that is far better than LCD or DLP projections. They do not have a lot of the little imperfections of the DLPs rainbow effect and the LCDs refresh rates. The CRT projector can provide some very high resolution and accurate color reproduction.
Some of the Disadvantages Include
The CRT projectors are always large and much heavier the LCD and DLP projectors. They take more time to adjust and set up. They do not have near the brightness capability of the LCD and DLP projectors. On the cheaper models there are color divergence problems because they are very poorly tuned.
