In order to make your projector lamp reach the maximum length in life span there are few tips that you should know as a user.

In order to correctly manipulate the projector lamp you need a piece of textile cloth or a pair of textile gloves. The lamp must never be touched with the fingers so it is always wise to manipulate the lamps components using a pair of textile gloves. The prints that remain on the glass of the lamp can cause the rising of the temperature in those areas and on the long term can significantly reduce the duration of the lamps functioning.

Another preventive measure is clearing the projectors filters. The dirty filters are blocking the air flow and cause the overheating of the lamp reducing the functioning period. In case of a replacement using the warranty certificate, the producer will test the lamp to see if the damage has occurred due to the overheating from filter clogging. If the test proves that that was the case the warranty is annulled. That is why it is very important to let the airflow around the projector as free as possible.

If you wish to introduce a new bulb in the existing lighting module of the lamp, make sure that the terminals are very tightly closed because the ceramic block can crack and that may cause ruptures that are reducing considerably the electronic isolation of the lamp.

On the other hand if the terminals are loose the risk of an electric arc to be produced is very high and this will cause the malfunction of the lamps source of power or even of the lamp itself.

Always use the remote control when stopping the projector. If you unplug the device without stopping it first the projector will invariably enter the cooling mode when the image is stopped and the fan will accelerate the cooling of the lamp in a controlled mode. The temperature of the lamp during operating mode is 1,000 C. Unplugging the lamp without letting it first passing through the off mode will cause the unequal cooling of the lamps glass which can cause the cracking of the glass and the premature malfunction of the lamp.

Why Should I Choose A 7.1 Home Theater System?

Getting a quality 7.1 theater system in your home can be great as you enjoy at home the movie experience of sound in your dvds. But making sure you get the system installed correctly is key as you will want to not waste your money on a system that does not work properly.

As you consider your home theater investment consider what you want exactly. If you don't know do some research enough so you know what you are talking about. You can't major in technology overnight but you will want to have enough information to know what you are talking about.

So what I found out is that the 7.1 part of the term means the quality and power of the speakers. Home theater system is a term but the 7.1 part of it tells you the power of it. And that part is specific to people who know what the heck that means.

What I also found out is the power of the speaker is important for especially THX sound. The power of the speaker is so you can have movie sound quality and not blow out the speaker. This makes sense to me because the space is so much smaller than a giant movie theater.

So with this limited knowledge I can kind of understand why the person is explaining to me why the 7.1 speakers are better than the 5.1 speakers. But I still don't feel confident to know what I am doing.

What I do know is that I don't have enough knowledge to do anything without an expert. I feel like I can get a quality system and write the check okay but I also realize with strong conviction that I need an expert in my corner to help me get my system to what I want. I need a consultant that can supervise the installation and make sure that everything is set up properly to code and the sound doesn't flood into any of the other rooms.

The consultant usually has connections and can hook you up with a great price on a 7.1 home theater system as well. Through their wholesale affiliates you can get the most for your money and get the killer theater room you always dreamed of.

LCD, DLP and LCOS are three projector technologies which are predominantly used in schools, colleges and corporate houses for giving presentations, watching videos, classroom teaching, product training etc. LCD projectors use LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) technology to display text and image on an interactive whiteboard or other projection screen. They are also known as multimedia projectors as they can display both text and images from PC, TV and video recorders. They can work with all types of notebooks and desktops. The projection can be of SVGA or XGA resolution.

SVGA means 800 * 600 resolutions whereas XGA means 1024 * 768 screen resolution. A digital image is made up of dots or pixels. A resolution is the size of the digital image which is expressed in width * Height. For e.g.: 800 * 600 resolution means, an image is 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels in height. The projector brightness is measured in ANSI (American National Standard Institute) Lumens.

The DLP and LCOS projectors are also considered to be a type of LCD projector although they use DLP (Digital Light Processing) and LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technologies for video projection.

LCD technology is best for computer use and DLP is best for projecting videos. LCD delivers better color saturation, sharper image and is more light efficient than DLP. The DLP projectors are smaller and lighter than LCD and produce higher contrast videos.

LCOS technology is best for very high resolutions. Its projectors are bigger and heavier than LCD and DLP and generally cost more. One practical application of LCD technology is its use by teachers when training students to use software by capturing the image say 'Screen of MSWord' from a computer screen and projecting it on the interactive whiteboard so that all the students can see what is going on the computer screen. Some projector accessories are: cabinets, cases, ceiling mount kits, cables, lens, lamps, remote control, projection screen, stands, trolleys, digital microscope, visualizers etc.
